This $8 Spray Tan is Better Than Every Fancy Salon Spray I’ve Tried

When it comes to beauty services, I’m all for affordable, quick & effective. I don’t need to feel special & pampered, I just want the job to be done well & quickly so I can get along with my life as scheduled ( type A as fck ).

When it comes to spray tanning, I’ve tried it ALL. I’ve done fancy in-home organic sprays, various booth & salon tans, and tried my hand at self-tanning ( major F A I L ).

While the personalization of a celebrity-status salon spray is pretty bomb ( for example, when your spray tanner DRAWS ON abs, IM IN ), my go-to magical booth spray tan is trusty, quick & so much more affordable.

In addition, I prefer the color I get from this specific tan & the way in fades over any professional spray I’ve gotten so far.

Enter: the MYSTIC TAN booth spray in the color DARK ISLAND.

I get my Mystic sprays at my local Palm Beach Tan location ( I know many tanning salons have the Mystic booth! ). My monthly “unlimited tan” fee for PBT is about $40, and each spray tan is about $8, as I pay for the dark Island color, which is a bit extra.

The reason I’m specific about spraying only with the Island color is it has a blue undertone, meaning it doesn’t develop overly orange on my skin.

You can play with varying levels of darkness ( you can also pay for a double pass to go even darker! ), though I generally choose the “dark” color ( single pass ), because I find that the medium color isn’t as noticeable.

Keep in mind, my skin tone is naturally light, as I don’t usually spend a lot of time in the sun, wearing sunscreen if & when I do.

If you’re looking for something trusty & easy, I highly recommend this tan! Organic sprays with local salons here in LA average about $60 per tan, so this option is much cheaper in the long-run for me.

Happy tanning, friends, & STAY HEALTHY. Love y’all.
