Considering the Coronavirus situation we have on our hands, I’m going to assume many of you are limiting your exposure to the outside world. While I’ll still be running errands & out of the house today, I’m definitely being careful about germs, making sure to wash my hands, and staying in as much as possible ( no partying for P this weekend! ).
I think, during times like this, it’s important to avoid panic while also preparing for the situation to escalate. While I don’t think stocking up on 150 rolls of toilet paper is necessary ( I cannot find toilet paper for REGULAR amounts of use anywhere because of this, lol ), I do think its smart to have non-perishable food and water around ( though not in EXCESS! leave something for others, people! ) just in case.
Also, if you’re feeling ill, just stay home. While I’m not necessarily worried about this virus putting my health at dire risk, I do worry about people like my grandparents and my friends who have pre-existing autoimmune conditions. If you’re sick, STAY HOME to avoid putting others at risk!
MOVING ON.
Because we’ll all be trapped inside for a bit, I’m thinking you’ll be slightly bored, which means content consumption ( & with it, online shopping ) is at an all-time high. The coronavirus is allowing me LOTS of time to sit at home and write posts, so if you need something to do, look no further!
Today, I’m starting a series called Friday Favorites, where, you guessed it, I’ll be sharing my favorite things from the week. These products will range from clothes to beauty to electronics to FOOD. Anything goes around these parts.
Today’s list is a bit random, but that’s the way I like it. Stay tuned at the end for a number of selects from Princess Polly, because I have a 20% off code for y’all to use on the entire site!
Beats by Dre Solo 3
I’m a little late to the party, but I just got my first pair of Beats this week! There is something about having aesthetic electronics & work supplies that makes me want to get to work immediately. These headphones put me right in the ZONE when I’m working somewhere like a coffee shop or shared work space.
I got the satin gold color, btw!
Beach Waver Tool
The NUMBER of QUESTIONS I’ve received lately about how I wave my hair is astounding, tbh. The answer? This little $40 waver tool that you can get on Amazon.
Tutorial to-come.
Maison Francis Kurkdijan Baccarat Rouge 540 Parfum
This scent it a bit pricey, but so it goes for high-end perfumes, I suppose. This is my absolute favorite perfume ever, so it’s worth every penny in my opinion.
I’ve finally graduated from the one perfume I wore middle school through college, people. Elevating from Alien took a few years ( & sometimes I return to that scent ) and a bit more of an investment, but I feel much more adult now.
All Access Center Stage Legging
This is a NO CAMEL TOE ZONE. Ok? Do u understand?
For some reason, I almost always get a camel toe while wearing activewear leggings. Nearly always. So, I’ve set out on a quest to find leggings and biker shorts that don’t accentuate the dreaded camel toe. These All Access leggings are absolutely flawless. They squeeze you in at the waist, fit flawlessly & don’t show sweat stains ( at least the black pair doesn’t! ). This brand is GREAT!
Schutz Maryana Boot
Can y’all EVEN with these boots?
These boots come in various colors ( I always have the black ) & are super easy to walk in. Schutz runs pretty true-to-size, if you need fixing reference!
I’m loving this color for spring & summer.
Princess Polly Favorites:
use code PAYTON for 20% off site-wide!
I did a PP haul on my Instagram story today, though I realized many of the products had limited stock or were sold out! While many of my favorites from that haul are still available, I wanted to share a few NEW & in-stock picks for y’all to browse as long as my discount code is available!
I’m generally a size 4 in Princess Polly, for reference.
Military Minds Mini Dress
This dress would look so cute styled with sneakers ( & maybe a baseball hat ) to run errands or do some daytime activities in. You could also style it with chunky combat boots for a more masculine edge, or a pair of sandals to make the look more summer-forward.
Faded Black Jeans
BLESS this ultra-high waist!
I’m obsessed with the fit of these jeans. I’d style these with a cropped graphic tee ( or regular-fit graphic tee, tucked in ) & combat boots or with a cropped white tank & boots/sneakers. Overall, this style of jean is a closet-must for me.
Walk the Line Maxi Dress
This dress is SEXUAL, I love it.
I’m obsessed with stockpiling affordable-yet-cocktail-approved dresses like these, so I have them on-hand when I need them. Preparation is key. That way, if an event, a wedding, or a cocktail party comes up ( which they do quite regularly for me! ), I’m ready to go.
This would be cute with simple nude heels!
Missy Mini Dress
I love running errands or attending daytime events in mini dresses like this one! I also keep these types of things on-hand for whenever I may need them.
A mini dress like this can be styled, as-pictured, with high socks & sneakers for everyday activities, or with a beachy/nude platform heel for day drinking & shenanigans.
Thrills Trucker Jean
Last, but not least, these trucker jeans are a lil dream.
Again, the ultra-high waist is absolutely necessary for me ( as it creates a waistline where I otherwise don’t have one, lol ), and the wash is that perfect, rugged vintage tone we all want in our denim.
This pair of jeans can basically go with ANYTHING, from graphic tees to feminine tops to basics.
Happy shopping, babes! & stay safe out there. x
