Helllllo, lovies.
Ya girl has been slightly absent on the blog + youtube this week, as I was feeling a little under the weather physically after returning from Arizona. By that I mean: I was in a PANIC & convinced myself that I definitely had Coronavirus.
It’s not that I’m necessarily afraid of getting the virus myself, because ( at least to my knowledge ), I’m healthy & my immune system kills it ( not to brag, but like, immune system FLEX ). BUT– it’s my worst nightmare to unknowingly have it and be spreading it to people.
So, I spent the majority of this week nursing myself back to health, hoping that I hadn’t just given Coronavirus to the few people I’ve seen in the last two weeks, answering worried “how are you feeling today” texts from my mom ( lol ), & just CHILLING.
But, we are going to work together through this Friday Favorites, because I need to let y’all in on some important wishlist items & recent purchases. I’ve been distracting myself with online shopping, kkk… it’s “work.”
Platform Converse
THESE are the summer shoe of my dreams. I just purchased these secret height-boosters in the high-top white version, and they seem to be selling out online quickly! I also like the low-top version, which I already own in two colors.
These sneakers are the perfect pairing for a mini dress. I live for the mini dress + platform sneaker combo. CUTEST.
Dolce & Gabbana Bra Top
Okay, I know this is a bit of a splurge, but hear me out… THIS D&G top is a relatively inexpensive way to make an outfit look more expensive. At $165, its for affordable than designer accessories & it’s leagues cheaper than other high-end clothing.
I hate to admit that I love the look of a high-end label, but bloggers are label whores & we already know that ( so, makes sense ). It’s not the most important facet of personal style, but I do like incorporating a designer logo into an outfit every now-and-then ( you’ll never catch me wearing multiple at once, though. nah. )
Wearing this under a blazer/jacket or by itself is simple-yet-high-end, all under $200. Understated-chic is the vibe.
Blue Light Glasses ( Pair )
Needless-to-say, I’m spending lots of time on the computer, on my phone, & watching TV as of late. Like…. even more than normal.
I’m sure many of you can relate.
This extra-affordable blue-light-blocking duo is 1) cute as hell and 2) ready to save your eyes from the strain & pain that staring at a screen for 90% of the day will induce.
I wear these when I edit video, and I always put them on when I’m working after-hours, in hopes that blocking the blue light closer to bedtime will help me fall asleep easily.
Cute-Ass Grinder
Y’ALL.
How chic??
As a true resident of Los Angeles, I do enjoy partaking in the weedz every now-and-then ( sometimes more often ). Because I have no idea how to roll a joint, I usually opt for pre-rolls or low-dose edibles.
I have recently acquired flower from a few companies, & I’ve decided it’s time I learn how to properly roll a joint. So, I got this pearl grinder to help me keep my evening balcony smokes CUTE n fun.
Vibey Silky Top + Skirt Matching Set
I’m not sure what’s going on lately, but I’m BIG into the pastels at the moment. If you can’t tell by my current Instagram feed, it’s all about the dreamsicle vibes lately.
Generally speaking ( & this is NOT a flex, it’s just a truth that comes along with my particular job ), when I see something I like online from a smaller brand or a company I work with a lot, like Revolve, I shoot an email over to the brand or my contact to request the product.
This process tends to take a little while, going back-and-forth via email for a couple days, making selects, getting them approved, and waiting for the product to be shipped out.
I spotted this set on Revolve last week and I had to have it. Immediately. No back-and-forth, no waiting. I needed it, and I needed it NOW. So, this ( along with my D&G top ) was a somewhat rare purchase I made in the last week because it was just too damn good.
Aesthetic Mirror
During this quarantine period, I’m finding myself moving towards minimalism. All of my recent apartment inspo has been ultra-minimal in terms of decor.
Because of this, I’m leaning towards decor items like mirrors and art work that are simple, yet still make a statement, ya know?
This mirror does just that. It’ll be perfect on a vanity or dresser, so I just put in my order for it yesterday!
Angular Sunnies
OBSESSED.
First of all, my my my, over-all, kills it in the affordable-yet-high-quality sunglasses game.
These mod shades in tortoise make any feminine spring look just a little edgier, and I’m always here for that. There’s something about a shade in this shape that makes you look vaguely threatening, but not TOO threatening.
Picture this: We’re all allowed to go out of the house and be around people. You’re in your slightly-oversized linen blazer that you’ve thrown on over denim shorts + a plain white tee. You lace up your platform converse, throw on your you-should-maybe-fear-me-but-also-lets-be-besties shades & head out the door.
dreamy.
Trippy Art Print
Okay, well if this isn’t SO ME, I don’t know what is.
I’m always drawn to female-focussed art, whether it be showcasing the female body, or capturing femininity in some other way. I can’t get enough of surrounding myself with goddess energy.
Also, I’m OBSESSED with space & the universe. If you’ve been following me for a sec, this is old news. This print stood out to me immediately. I absolutely love it.
I requested this print in a smaller size, to put on my desk or a side table. It could end up in a print collage on the wall, who knows. So good, nonetheless!
Anywho– that’s it for the entirety of this week’s blog content, LOL. WHOOPS.
Sometimes, even during a whole damn quarantine, you just need a break from over-working & being productive, ya know? I feel like I’m sitting in front of my computer even more during all of this ( bc I am ).
Hope y’all are staying healthy & sane, as usual. LOVE. x
