Let’s talk basics.

In terms of putting together everyday outfits, I always find myself reaching for a classic pair of denim ( shorts or jeans, depending on the weather ) & some sort of basic, figure-flattering-yet-comfortable top.

That is, unless I’m spending the day in a hoodie + sweats, of course ( sad to admit that this has been my uniform for the last week. whoops ).

Since living in LA, I’ve noticed good basics are a West-coast-girl’s best friend. We keep it pretty casual here in Los Angeles, which is something I appreciate about this city. The dress code is generally pretty chill.

Starting with a good base makes it easy to add personal style notes, like a cool pair of sneakers or booties, a leather or denim jacket, &/or some jewelry stacks.

When shopping for basics, Free People or Urban Outfitters are solid places to start.
