Neutral Textures x #AEOStyle

Hello my beebus-gals.

Today’s post is in collaboration with American Eagle! MAJOR flashbacks to middle school when I wouldn’t be caught DEAD in any other brand.

American Eagle has really impressed me as of late, especially with their summer clothing & accessories! In this post, I styled this high-neck suede look top with lace-up sides & these essential denim shorts.

I found this top & bottom combo to be ultra body-flattering, highlighting parts of my body that I like and slimming parts that I don’t exactly love.

The high-rise denim shorts hit at the perfect part of my stomach to be super-slimming, and they’re short but not TOO short. I played around with rolling them up & down to change the way they made my legs look.

Yes, I noticed the HUGE difference that 1/2 inch change in length made. LOL–crazy beebus.

I also DIG the way this top fit, showing a little skin on the sides & balancing it out with the high neck. The side ties allow you to really fit this top to your body, so you can adjust it to your liking.

The top is this soft, suede-look texture, which makes it a little more interesting than your average neutral-colored top. I LOVE playing with texture in outfits.

I wore some suede booties & a calf-hair cross body that I got when I was in Florence a few years ago ( & I couldn’t find one exactly like it online, sorry beebs! ). Like I said, texture is my shit.
