monday
Monday morning, I tried out a new class at Equinox called Band Burn, which focusses on toning + tightening without bulking. If you’re an Equinox member looking for a new type of class to try, I highly recommend it! BTW- I did a full post on the fitness classes I frequent with descriptions of each, so you can find similar classes at your gym!
Post-workout + shower, I headed to Body Electric Tattoo on Melrose to get one of my piercings fixed ( my piercing pulled through my ear while I was doing my hair one morning, to the point where the little gemstone head of the piercing was IN my earlobe, and the rest of the earring was sticking out of the back…… YIKES. IS. RIGHT. )
Brian, my piercer, was able to fix it no-problem ( though I won’t say it WASN’T painful ), & I ended up getting two more piercings. I think I’m becoming addicted! Do we want to see a post on my current ear situation?
Then, I sped to Santa Monica to celebrate Kylee’s birthday at Little Ruby, a new-ish restaurant situated right near the beach in SM. If you go, you HAVE to get the spicy italian sausage pasta ( they have gluten-free pasta option! ). It was FIRE, as they say.
Monday evening was spent in the gym, on the stair stepper machine, watching my favorite show to cringe to: The Bachelorette. My new rule is I can only watch trash TV if I’m working out at the same time. I think that’s fair.
tuesday
Tuesday morning, I headed to Equinox for my typical HIIT session on the treadmill.
Then, I spent the rest of the day bullshitting around town with Kristen, shooting content, eating at Bluestone Lane ( get the avocado smash, if you go! ), working & doing a Q&A on Instagram.
Nothing too wild.
Tuesday night was spent cleaning my apartment, buying random products on Amazon, & organizing my life.
wednesday
Last Wednesday, I actually took a day-in-my-life vlog, because I had QUITE the high-maintenance day.
Look out for that vlog coming to my YouTube channel tomorrow.
thursday
I worked all morning on Thursday morning, as well as ran errands around town that just NEEDED to get done. Much of this week was about getting my life together, because I’ve been back in LA long enough to do so.
These last few months of traveling & festivals really threw me off my A-game, leaving me feeling sluggish, swollen, & extremely out of shape. Not to mention: my inbox had piled up to 1000+ unread e-mails & I had a number of work-related to-do’s on my to-do list.
Sometimes you just need a week or two to gain control of your life, ya know?
I scheduled in workouts, organized/cleaned my apartment, took care of beauty-related upkeep, & accomplished many of the never-ending monotonous tasks that adult-life assigns us all.
If you’re feeling out-of-whack, I encourage you to have a WEEK of intense focus and devotion to getting your shit together. There isn’t much glory in it on the outside ( it’s actually quite boring-looking ), but its SO HELPFUL in terms of your inner peace. I promise.
I met up with my friend Josephine for lunch at The Hive in Santa Monica– a healthy spot I’m at ALL. THE. TIME. If you go, get the flying turkey wrap! It’s my favorite.
Post-lunch, I headed to see my girl Tory Lynn at Kelley Baker Beauty for a much-needed brow touch up. No big deal, but I left Kelley Baker with the world’s most perfect brows. I highly recommend.
I went on a run around my neighborhood ( for about 35 minutes ) on Thursday evening. Its been quite chilly here in LA lately, so I took advantage of the cooler evening temps & got outside to workout on Thursday.
friday
I met up with my friend Alex for lattes + lots of tea spilling at The Ivy on Friday morning.
Then, I went to Burn60 Studios in West Hollywood for the first time EVER for an event with Dermalogica, & I fell in LOVE. The workout is a mix of treadmill running/sprinting & strength exercises. My friend Lindsey led the workout ( highly recommend following her for all the fitness tips you’ll ever need! ) & she COMPLETELY kicked our asses.
We were all given the CUTEST workout sets from Carbon38 ( I discovered my favorite new leggings ), & enjoyed Tocaya Organica for lunch while getting mini facials from Dermalogica professionals.
It was kind of my dream way to spend the afternoon.
Then, I went to CryoCafe to get a 10-minute cryo facial, which was the PERFECT treatment to get post-workout. I’ve always wanted to try one out, so I figured that was the best time to do so. A cryo facial would also be an amazing anti-hangover-face treatment. It calms inflammation, kills bacteria, and feels UNREAL.
It’s almost like a more luxurious version of my morning ice-rolling routine.
After my cryo facial, I drove to Hollywood to meet with my managers to discuss a few exciting projects I have coming up! I signed with management in late 2018, & it has absolutely changed my life for the better work-wise. I know some of y’all are bloggers, and may want to know more about signing with management, so let me know if that’s something y’all want me to talk about!
Friday night, I went out with some friends to 40 Love in West Hollywood for a few drinks before heading to Hyde. We really WENT FOR IT, ok.
Also, side note, 40 Love has gluten-free chicken fingers and espresso martinis to-die-for. You need.
saturday
As if I hadn’t already ruined my life enough on Friday night, I decided to go out on Saturday.
I spent Saturday morning nursing my hangover ( with water, electrolyte drinks, green juice & protein ), mentally prepping myself to join my friends out again.
Back-to-back days spent consuming alcohol usually isn’t the way I like to spend my weekend, but I was convinced to partake by a few of my more FUN friends.
I started with drinks at Hillstone in Santa Monica on Saturday afternoon, before heading to Bungalow to meet some of my favorite people. The only way you’ll catch me at Bungalow is if all of my favorite humans decide they all want to go there in a big group. Otherwise, BYE.
Post-day party, we ate, we recharged, & we went out AGAIN. Who am I???? What is going on???? Never again. It was fun, but…. never again. ( until next weekend. )
