Vacation-Vibes with Planet Blue

Morning, beebaronies!

Hope everyone’s weekend turned out to be killer!

I had the chance to spend Saturday & Sunday in Big Bear, CA, a little mountain town just 2 hours outside of Los Angeles. Big Bear is so cute & gives off some major Colorado vibes. I kept forgetting that I was still in California.

If you’re in LA, I highly recommend heading out to Big Bear for a weekend… at least to experience the whole fall/winter thing that we don’t get here closer to the coast.

Renting an Airbnb out there is SO affordable & easy. We spent a some time in town, bopping around cutie restaurants & bars, grilled out at the cabin, and rented a pontoon boat on the lake for a little while on Sunday. The best part about the whole trip was being able to bundle up in sweaters & coats…. ya know, pretend it’s actually November.

That situation was perfect for me, because I can’t deal with even relatively chilly weather for too long. A couple days below 60 degrees was enough for this beebus ( *such a baby,* I know ). I require sunshine & temps above 75.

Speaking of warmer temps: this TJD maxi dress from Planet Blue is giving me major vacation vibes.

Can’t you just see this jewel-toned maxi floating around a Cabo beach-front restaurant for a dinner overlooking the ocean? It’s flawless.

Clearly, one of my favorite parts about traveling ( especially to beachy, chill-out locations ) is picking out my outfits. When I’m shopping, I’m usually visualizing the clothes/shoes/accessories in a particular location.

I always let the location inspire the look. This dress, in particular, is perfect for a weekend-getaway to a tropical beach location or a summer evening in the Mediterranean.

Planet Blue is one of my favorite places to shop online ( & in store! ) for beachy, vacation-vibe diggs. They always have the best boho-inspired dresses & such.

Now that I’ve gotten myself all inspired to spend a weekend in Cabo, I’m off to work for the day.

I mean, my work today includes heading downtown to get some pretty clothes & jewelry to share with y’all and answering emails over iced coffee & a view of the Hollywood hills. I guess one could consider that a vacation, LOL.
