HELLO.
As many of you might’ve noticed, I recently purchased a pair of dream boots from Louis Vuitton. I posted about my new shoes on Instagram stories, as well as in an Instagram post, & I got SO many responses from girls who either saw the boots on me & purchased online or who were interested in buying, but wanted a bit of a review on them first.
What I’ve noticed in the last year or so is a difference in the way people who follow me shop in general. When I first started blogging, I was 21 years old, and many of my followers were around that same age. We were all in college or just entering the adult world. My audience was more engaged with / interested in find the look for less & shopping on a tight budget.
Of course, that’s what I’ve always been interested in as well. So, my content was geared more towards that.
Only a few years later, as I settle into my mid-twenties, I’m noticing that many of us have grown up a bit. We’re getting our lives together. We’ve been working for a few years. We are paying our damn bills and taxes and SOMEHOW having a little money left over to buy ourselves something special on occasion. I’m proud of us. You go gals.
If you aren’t there yet, not to fret, I think being in your 20s is all about working your ass off to achieve the financial stability & freedom that hopefully allows you indulgence in moderation. That’s a priority for me, anyways. No rush, you’ll get there. Keep doing your thing.
Like I mentioned in my 2019 resolution/goal post, I want to simplify my life as much as possible. Instead of buying more, my goal is to buy less of higher quality. I’m making an effort to sell or give away many of my belongings in hopes of being able the replace excessive amounts of clothing/shoes/beauty products with a few items I absolutely love.
In short: I’m noticing many of you are interested in high-end classics & statement pieces lately as well. So, I wanted to round up a wishlist of some of my favorite high-end pieces I have my eye on at the moment.
BRB as I sell my entire closet via Poshmark ( my username is @paytonsartain, btw! ) & invest in a few key designer pieces ( remember my commitment to simplifying in 2019?? Here it is in action! ).
By the way, this isn’t to say I still don’t love style on a budget. It’s all about mixing high-end & affordable in my opinion.
Happy shopping, beebs!
