Last week, I had the chance to spend the DREAMIEST day at Barney’s in Beverly Hills.
After a LOT of hard work in the last few weeks ( doing blog behind-the-scenes, preparing for our move, & trying to get back in shape for summer trips ), I was beyond ready to spend a day alone, shopping in Beverly Hills. There’s something about getting a nice lunch & shopping ALONE that makes me feel like I’m really indulging.
It also helps that I live within 15 minutes of Beverly-freaking-Hills. It’s iconic for a reason. FANCY.
I’ve partnered with Barney’s to take y’all into my dressing room to find something splurge-worthy. Right now, to celebrate the class of 2018, new graduates who spend $250+ at Barney’s between May 1-June 15 will get a $50 Thank God I Graduated card, redeemable in-store from June 16-July 15.
So, if you’ve hit that life-milestone this year, 1) CONGRATS, & 2) there’s another reason to treat yourself to something nice!
I discovered a few NEW women’s contemporary brands while shopping at Barney’s last week, so I’m showcasing a couple of those brands today. I’ll share what I ended up splurging on on my Instagram story tonight. Here were some of my top picks & WHY.
outfit #1
Designer: AREA
Splurge-Explanation: I LOVE a unique statement dress. This mini dress is a fun standout in both fabric & color. I’d invest in something like this if I had an event coming up, knowing it would, ya know, make a statement.
This mini dress comes in black. There is also a tube-top version, in both silver & blue, online here.
outfit #2
Designer: Zimmerman
Splurge-Explanation: Because it’s Zimmerman. DUH. I’d wear an outfit like this to an event or a wedding. You can dress it up with heels or dress it down with an elevated sneaker ( my favorite ). I absolutely LIVE for Zimmerman, so I had to try on a few pieces when I made my trip to Barney’s.
This dress is available online. I also liked this mini dress, this swimsuit, & this off-shoulder top ( SO CUTE! ).
Of course, I liked 1 million other Zimmerman options, but I don’t want to overload y’all on links.
outfit #3
Designer: Heron Preston
Splurge-Explanation: ITS SO CUTE. Splurging on sweatshirts has apparently become my new thing. It makes sense, if you thinking about it, because I wear sweatshirts on a daily basis. Whether its around my house or to casual dinner at night, I’m always in my favorite hoodie or crewneck sweatshirt.
I liked this one because it’s unique. I have just discovered Heron Preston, and I’m into the feminine-street vibe going on here.
This crewneck is available online, as is this statement leather mini skirt.
Like I said, I’ll share what I ACTUALLY picked up for summer travels on my Instagram story tonight ( @paytonsartain ).
Don’t forget, if you’re a class of 2018-er, to look into the TGIG promotion that Barney’s is putting on. It’s easier to treat yourself if you’re CELEBRATING something & if there’s a money-saving aspect involved, in my opinion.
Which of these looks is your favorite??
Talk soon, xx
This post is in partnership with Barney’s New York. All opinions are my own.
