Today, We’re Talking Hair.
First Things First: I am SUPER particular/ mega-bitch/ perfectionist/ majorly-anal when it comes to my hair (okay… I’m like this about a lot of things but ESP my hair). Anyone else?
Once I find something I like (stylist/ color/ product/ routine), I stick with it. For example, the same guy (Damien at Osgood Oneill Salon in Dallas.. he’s the best!) has been coloring my hair for the last (almost) 6 years. I used to drive over an hour to Dallas from home and an hour back every 6 weeks to see Damien. Because, he just ‘gets it’ & I CANNOT emotionally handle a bad hair color. Really, I’ll freak out. Trust me, I’ve tried to gracefully recover from some F’ed-up hair experiences and…. that failed.
I’m not an emotional girl, in general, so this is big.
I can’t even handle getting a bad blow out without wanting to punch the hairdresser in the face/having a mini-mental break-down.
On that note, I’m also not a huge fan of a bunch of product (did I say I was SUPER particular yet, or…?). For some reason, hair stylists are constantly weighing me tresses down with nasty goopy/oily product and it makes me sooo P-O’ed.
So, there’s my backstory.
Anyways, Onto the previously scheduled post:
In the past month, I’ve noticed a huge change in the health of my hair. It’s longer, stronger, and honestly, its just looking really freakin’ good lately. I’m proud.
My at-home hair care routine has consisted of:
♥ Washing my mane 2x a week
♥ Usually forgoing the blowdryer (unless I splurge on a blow out… fancy)
♥Using my Argan Oil Hair Mask once a week
(& sometimes using pure Argan oil as well!).
This Argan Oil thing is balllllllin’.
InstaNatural ( which is a company that I have worked with a lot the last few months.. find my thoughts on their Hyaluronic Acid !! ) describes this mask: “InstaNatural’s Argan Oil Hair Mask is a deep conditioning treatment designed to transform dry and damaged strands into soft, shiny, healthy hair. Its restorative ingredients – such as Argan Oil, Japanese Green Tea, Amino Acid Complex, Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil, Avocado Oil & Vitamin B5 – work together to penetrate hair deep down and deliver ultimate nourishment and hydration to enhance texture and shine. This intensive blend full of organic ingredients also serves to strengthen hair to defend against heat damage and other external aggressors.”
Sometimes, I’ll put a little Argan oil on the ends of my hair at night for added benefits. Can’t have to strands lookin’ like shit. Right?
I may do a post about the many uses of Argan Oil soon. Thoughts?
Anyways, happy Sunday xx
