Not-So-Plain White Tee

Let’s jump right into this, shall we? I don’t have much life news for y’all, because I’m being boring lately.

The most exciting thing that’s happened to me this week is getting to write about being spread eagle/naked in front of a stranger a few days ago. Ya know, just like boring, everyday stuff.

Anyways.

I fell in love with this simple-but-interesting white top from Urban Outfitters a few weeks ago ( PS– its on SALE! ). I have entirely too many white tops, and yet it seems like I never have enough of them.

What I like about this white surplice top is: it’s as versatile as a plain white tee, but it has it’s own thing going on too. It’s not just riding on the rest of the outfit’s glory like a total moocher. This top has a cool-factor all its own.

I styled it with simple skinnies & western accessories. Y’all know I need to add a Texas touch to everything.

Under this white top, because it’s cut quite low/is very exposed in the front, I wore a strappy black bralette. I LOVE the way a bralette like this one looks layered under something white/pastel & loose.

It’s a hint of masculinity under an otherwise ultra-feminine, drapey top. I started loving that contrast when I was an intern at For Love & Lemons. They totally get that whole trend.

PS– can we all just take a second to appreciate my very real resting bitch face in the below photo? Haley caught me in a very sincere moment, so I had to leave it in the final photo selection ( LOL ).

Oh, wait, I DO have some news for y’all: I finalllllly hired an INTERN! My new intern, Rachel, will be starting next month, so be prepared to see her pretty face via social media all the time.

Thanks to everyone who applied via e-mail! It’s very humbling to have people reach out WANTING to work with you. Y’all rock my face off.

Luckily, I was able to find someone local pretty quickly, and she totally gets my aesthetic & the direction I’m wanting to go. Lucky me!

K, well, hope y’all love today’s not-so-plain white tee situation. I think one of these is a total must for summertime adventures.
