Hi beebus girls!
So, I didn’t really get the chance to weekend re-cap for y’all during Sunday’s somewhat-drunken blogging escapade. That’s what happens when I plan for weekend work… everything gets a little more… relaxed. HA.
The look was cute though, right??
Okay let’s recap.
Friday night was spent in bed, eating like an animal, & binge-watching Stranger Things on Netflix. Did anyone else get super emotional at the end of that show?? I was quietly sobbing… by myself.. in the dark.. clutching my cheetos.
My roomie & I went to the beach on Saturday, and then I spent the night out at 1OAK & various other hollywood locations. I can’t quite maintain the club lifestyle like a seasoned pro, so activated charcoal & lots of water were necessary following Saturday’s activities.
Sunday was filled with brunching ( at The Churchill, a classic ), hanging out with friends in Santa Monica, & relaxing. It’s such a hard life out here, ya know? ( NOT ).
That’s pretty much it for this weekend!
Moving on to this post… what you really came for.
The maxi dress is such an easy summertime outfit that can work for day or night. My maxi dress love is similar to my romper obsession– it’s only one piece to throw on, super comfortable, and so many maxi dresses don’t require a bra. Need I say more?
My favorite maxi fits are tanks or off-shoulder, & they usually show a little cleavage/side boob in a beachy-boho way. I’m not about the sky-high, push-up bra look. Maxi dresses are so effortless, so the effortless vibe is the one I’m channeling with my hair, makeup, & accessories. Au Naturale.
Think salt-sprayed messy waves, soft bronzer & highlight, a few dainty necklaces, and a gladiator sandal. I can DIG IT. It’s the cool-girl summer uniform.
Are y’all fans of the maxi dress look? Which one is your fav??
Talk soon! xx
