Hi friends!!

Today, I’m showing a little love to one of my favorite clothing brands, For Love & Lemons. Also on today’s schedule: I’ve teamed up with a few bloggers for a huge GIVEAWAY that I think y’all are going to love.

So, For Love & Lemons.

As many of you know, I had the opportunity to intern at For Love & Lemons while I was in college. I moved out to LA for the last semester of my Junior year to participate in a social media/PR internship with FL&L.

At that time, I was in college for political science & sociology, and had plans to move forward with law school. I had my heart set on law school since childhood, basically.

Before I committed completely to that, I wanted to give the Los Angeles/fashion thing a go. Working in fashion didn’t seem like a realistic lifestyle, coming from Texas, because I wasn’t really around anyone in the industry.

Texas is BOMB for oil & other resources, sports, law, etc., but not so much for women’s contemporary fashion… lol.

Moving out to LA ( or New York…. which is way too cold for me ) was essential for fully immersing myself in the world I wanted to be a part of.

I starting blogging as a running resume to get an internship in Los Angeles, and I scored my internship with FL&L at the beginning of my Junior year. By the start of the Spring semester, I had leased an apartment in West Hollywood, moved all of my shit from College Station, TX, & had started working at FL&L in Downtown LA.

Quite a lifestyle change.

Luckily for me, that internship taught me a lot, & the blog went from a resume-builder, to a passion, to a full-time job. WHAT IS THIS LIFE? Everything kind of fell into place. ( Please see here for my thoughts on just DOING whatever it is you want to do.. you must )

So, For Love & Lemons will always hold a special lil’ place in my heart. Not to mention: EVERYTHING they make is STUNNING. I’m SO obsessed with the way all of the dresses fit.

Today’s look is FL&L, with a little faux fur, some sock booties ( on MAJOR sale ), & reflective shades.

My photographer and I stopped off on a side street in Beverly Hills to shoot this, because the palm-tree-lined streets are too damn good. Happy shopping!
