Simple, Ride-Or-Die Fall Staples

I’m SO looking forward to the week/weekend ahead, as I’ll be running around Los Angeles for various events, meetings & shoots. There’s just something about a fully-booked calendar that makes me so pumped to get my life together.

My to-do list is my guide, ya know? Excuse me while I spend the most satisfying day crossing off various tasks. *is too Type A to even live*

Anyways.

I’m starting out this week with this classic fall look in partnership with Zappos. Let’s all pay special attention to my Gentle Souls by Kenneth Cole booties, a shoe I suggest for anyone looking for their go-to neutral bootie for the season.

These booties feature PORON® performance cushioning, which is a fancy way to say they’re super comfy for running around in all day. I’ll not that I find it so difficult to find heeled booties that are comfortable enough to keep on for hours.

These particular booties are on Zappos in three colors ( this neutral tone, black, & a patterned neutral print ), and I’m all about these simple staples right now.

I also picked up another simple staple, this black ribbed turtleneck bodysuit, from Zappos. This bodysuit is soft with two cutouts off the shoulders, putting a lil twist on an otherwise basic top. This bodysuit is perfect for layering under coats ( like my trench here ) or jackets, or wearing with a well-fitting pair of denim and a simple belt.

As y’all know by now, I’m all about building my closet around dependable staples like these.

Claire and I drove around sunny Santa Monica to shoot this look, a DAY after she got back from her month-long Bali excursion. Can you tell I was READY to get back to work upon her return?? LOL.

We found the CUTEST house in Santa Monica, & kind of took over their front gate, because it’s such a quaint little corner of the neighborhood.
