Capturing California-Girl Style

Beachy. Effortless. Undone.

Southern California style is comfortable, casual, & incredibly easy to copy.

“California style” might lead you to recall your middle school days spent weaving your way through your local mall’s Abercrombie, giggling at the ~cute~ shirtless greeter’s chiseled, pre-pubescent abs, sippin’ on your Venti mocha frap.

I know each & every one of you did that, so don’t even try to claim otherwise.

Only the coolest tweens ditched their moms at Sbarro, floral-cased flip phones in-hand, ready to take on Wet Seal with their weekly allowance & EXTRA, EXTRA-straighted, greasy/flat hair.

I’m not speaking from experience or anything… LOL.

My idea of Cali-girl style is along the lines of oversized sweaters, cut-off denim, & undone beach hair.

Best-case scenario: No trips trips to the mall necessary.

Think Planet Blue, RE/DONE Denim, Flynn Skye, Wildfox, etc.

I’m into draped silhouettes, long-sleeves-with-shorts, a lil extra skin peeking through, and things like bras & shoes being optional. Bless you, Southern California.

My roomie-gal, Molly, totally nails California-girl style on her blog. If y’all haven’t insta-stalked or read her blog yet, you must.

Makeup is minimal. Hair is undone & messy. Easy–peasy. Cali-style conquered.
