Today’s video is PART I of a WEEK IN MY LIFE AS A FULL-TIME BLOGGER mini series. I wanted to be as thorough & transparent as possible, so I’ve split this video up into a couple different videos ( bc I didn’t want one long, 30-minute video ).
This will fall under my ‘Blogging 101’ category, and I hope this video is helpful to those of you who are wanting to either start a blog or wanting to start blogging as a full-time job.
I think the best way to explain my daily life is by showing y’all, obviously. It’s usually not as glamorous or as exciting as it might appear, but I absolutely LOVE doing what I do, and I consider myself so lucky to wake up and work hard at something I’m obsessed with.

One day I hope I can really and dedicatedly implement your tips. I’m on exchange in Australia right now, so I’m using it as an opportunity to implement travel type posts in my blog, but I want to start incorporating fashion posts. I never thought about truly reaching out to a photographer and even living with them like you…. I probably wouldn’t do that but once I get home to NJ, I want to try and find a friend or photography in my area to up my post game. Thanks for the tips!!

Definitely use your time in Australia to talk about some fun travel stuff! I’d read all about it! Maybe combine the travel & the fashion, taking pictures that capture both setting & your outfit. Definitely reach out to photographers ( but also, be careful when meeting people through instagram, obviously ) via social media and see what comes of it!

Hey Hey!! I started following you on Instagram last December when a friend sent me your Instagram saying how we were at the same resort in Cancun, and ever since them I’ve been obsessed with you and your blog!! Just like you, I got this random urgency of creativity and decided to start a blog. I’m a only a junior in high school, but I plan on going down the fashion merchandising, marketing, social media route for college. Therefore I though it would be a great to have an early start and begin blogging. Your post have helped me out a ton! but my biggest question would be how do I start posting pictures of myself in the outfits I love when I can’t buy all the clothes I want to talk about. I started with gift guides gearing up for xmas with specific pieces found online with attached pictures, links and prices. I know eventually if i’m successful companies will reach out, but for the start I need help!

As for your question: I would get creative with the way you style your outfits! also, it cant hurt to reach out to smaller brands and do posts for trade. OR you could even go into a local boutique and ask if you can style/wear some of their clothes for tags on instagram. You would even have to be gifted the clothes, you could just pull outfits for photos, take some pics, and then bring everything back ( I did this with a boutique in college! ).
