Let’s Talk About Texas

At this point, I think it’s relatively obvious that I’m obsessed with Texas.

Do y’all remember my entirely Texas-inspired outfit from fashion week? Yep. Obnoxious Texan, party of one, right here.

Honestly, I wasn’t totally obnoxious until I moved out to LA last summer. Then, something came over me.

The mix of being home-sick & living somewhere SO different from home fueled my newfound need to let everyone know exactly where I come from. I’M FROM TEXAS, BITCHEZ. Miss it.

I refuse to change my Texas license plates until I absolutely have to. They will have to pry my Texas driver’s license from my cold, dead hands ( or I’ll just get a California license when a cop gives me a ticket for still having my Texas one… ya know, either/or ).

If it wouldn’t totally ruin my face, I’d have ‘TEXAS’ tattooed on my forehead. BUT — since the tat idea would probably ruin my mother’s life, I’ll stick to wearing my Texas apparel at. all. times. for now.

So, when I discovered Livy Lu, an online boutique that makes showing your state pride easy, comfy & cute, I knew I had to sport some on H+H.

Most of the time, I feel like clothing with things about Texas on it is super ugly… TBH. I usually find the most basic-AF tees or been-there-done-that tanks. It’s gross.

Livy Lu has a selection of Texas tops that I find super wearable. The one I’m wearing in this post ( the Lonestar State Terry Loop Sweatshirt in a S/M ) is a loungewear MUST HAVE. I’m seriously living in it at home.

I DO wear this out of the house, but, let’s be real, I spend most of my time at home, working on blog things. Livin’ the glam life, amiright?

I’m also digging this distressed Texas tee, this Texas Native top, & their Texas Star tee.

Livy Lu makes gear for a few other states, including Arkansas, Oklahoma (<< honestly, the cutest, in my opinion ), Missouri, & Louisiana, and for a number of colleges.

Are y’all in LOVE, or what?

In other news, I spent most of my Wednesday testing new recipes for the H+H recipe index & taking photos to post to my Poshmark closet in a bit.

Feeling V productive right now.

Oh, another thing: I’ll be doing a little tutorial about using the LIKEtoKNOW.it App on my Instagram stories tonight ( if you aren’t following me, my insta is @paytonsartain )! Basically, this app makes it ULTRA easy to shop my Instagrams & my snapchat by SCREENSHOTTING images. It’s brilliant.
