Cool in Camo

YO.

It has already been an extremely slow Monday morning for me, which is out-of-character for this beebus. Usually, I’m so ready for Mondays, because everyone starts answering e-mails/doing work, and I can refocus myself on the week ahead.

But, not today. I’m EXHAUSTED. *peels self out of bed at 9:30 AM* SOS. Need coffee. Need water. Need to never do two nights of “halloween” in a row ever again.

Luckily, the week ahead is about to be KILLA KILLA, which inspires me to get my ass into gear, even when I feel like shit. The refocusing will have to happen quickly today.

I loved seeing all of your Halloween costume snaps, though! Especially when y’all sent pictures wearing one of my top 5 fashion-girl costumes. Seriously, y’all are so hot.

Shop More Camo

So, today’s look is, clearly, all about camo.

Being from Texas ( & earlier from the panhandle of Florida ), camo is a regular in the closets of everyone I know. Back home, people buy camo for the sake of using it for hunting purposes ( or, if you’re my like Dad, the military gives you 100 pounds of camo gear ). It’s utility gear. Here in LA, if I ever say anything about hunting, people are seriously confused.

A few of my friends out here told me they thought hunting wasn’t a thing in contemporary times. I’m still getting used to the stark lifestyle contrast between where I’ve spent the last 22 years of my life & where I’ve spent the last 6 months.

Two completely different worlds.

Back to this outfit: camo as a trend. I’m loving adding a touch of camo to an all-black look like this one.

This look showcases my all-black look staples: ripped skinnies ( these are SO affordable & such good quality! I wear them like every day… ), pointed-toe booties ( I actually wear these every. single. day. ), simple tee, my Celine nano tote ( AKA: my child ), & these reflected sunnies.

Such an an easy look to put together, but it’ll look like you really put in some effort. Isn’t that always the goal?
