Heyyya, beebs.
So I’m finally getting a Holiday-themed post up on on H+H. It’s kind of depressing how not ‘gung-ho’ I’ve been about Christmas this year. I need to really get my act together. I’ll do it… for the blog’s sake. Because blog is life and life is blog ( lol ).
Anyways, last week I had the chance to shoot a little holiday collaboration with Gloria Ferrer ( YES, the wine company, and I’m very excited to share this one with y’all! ) & I decided to go ahead and throw a mini Christmas party for a couple of my friends for the collaboration.
Oh, ya know, when your job just casually involves throwing parties with friends & lots of bubbly. Is this real life?
You can see a sneak-peak video on my snapchat rn: payton_sartain.
& what’s a Christmas party without that cozy, rosemary & cinnamon, warm Christmas-smell entering your nostrils?
The answer is: nothing. A Christmas party is NOTHING if it doesn’t smell like Christmas.
LOL. Dramatic ( but kind of serious… ).
So, to make my house smell amazing for my holiday shindig, I let this Christmas-in-a-Pot simmer on the stove all day.
BTW I got this idea/’recipe’ from Pinterest, where I have learned pretty much every useful thing I know. Pinterest-Addict.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
♥ 3-4 Cinnamon Sticks
♥ 2 Oranges ( cut into halves )
♥ 1 Cup Cranberries
♥ 3 Rosemary Sprigs
HOW-TO:
♥ Add all ingredients to a large pot.
♥ Cover with water.
♥ Simmer all day.
Um, so damn easy.
These ingredients smell heavenly together, and using the stove to make my home smell nice makes me feel very domestic. This method leaves a really deep, lingering scent in the air ( as opposed to the way a candle’s scent kind of goes away ) without being too intense ( i.e. making me nauseated ).
In luuuuurve.
BTW is anyone sick of all the blogger gift guides yet?
Because I’m putting one together and I really think y’all are going to dig it.
It’s full of all of those things that no one would really need or buy for themselves but EVERYONE wants. Just a bunch of cool shit really. So, get ready to be the best gift-er at your holiday events, because the best gift-er always gives those unique gifts that no one really KNOWS they want until they get it.
Like these Marshmallow Slipper/Foot Warmers. My first thought was ‘wtf?‘ and my second thought was ‘wait…. I want these.’
LOL. I can’t wait to share my favorite finds with you peeps.
Love.
