What’s up????
~ NMJC. U? ~
HA. I’m actually laughing…. so delirious.
I think I’ve slept a total of 10 hours in the last 3 nights. Does anyone just need like 6 more hours in a day? I think a 30-hour day would really help me out a lot.
I have to be up by 7 AM every weekday this semester ( either for class or for boxing/working out ), and because I am such a night owl, my early wake-ups are taking a toll on my energy levels. I usually fall asleep around 2-3 AM every night ( aka morning ) because I tend to get some spark of inspiration around midnight/1 AM & I CAN’T STOP WORKING/WRITING/RESEARCHING/ETC. If you follow me on Pinterest, you’ll start to notice when I get all excited and inspired because I pin a gazzillion quotes, images, articles, etc. I’m like Dexter from Dexter’s Laboratory except my lab is really my bed with my Mermaid candle flickering, music playing & Pinterest pulled up on my laptop.
I just go crazy on all of that creative energy… which leaves me with NO energy in the morning.
Ugh.
Anyone have tips for getting on a normal sleep cycle/combatting insomnia? I’m SO TIRED, so WHY CAN’T I SLEEP???
I will admit, I kind of cherish my late nights reading quotes and interesting articles on Pinterest, perusing Instagram accounts, watching funny Vines, and trying to find entertaining tweeters (<< Twitter is my ‘new thing‘…. a little late on the game, but w/e ). So, if I ever get to be a normal human sleeper, I’ll probably have withdrawals from my creative/inspired, mad-scientist-after-midnight sessions.
Okay, so this outfit. I don’t really wear bright colors like red that often, but I love the cut of this shift dress! I think that shift dresses can be a little bit bag-lady looking at times, so when I find one with a fit that doesn’t swallow me up, I always try to snag it. The neckline & cut are both really flattering for my shoulders, and this dress covers up my larger bust without making me look HUGE ( which is ALWAYS a plus ). It’s challenging to make a shift look form-flattering and sexy, if you will, and I think that this one actually accomplishes both.
I mean, it’s conservative-sexy, which has an impact all it’s own.
Remember this box-y, low-cut shift from earlier this year? Same shit.
I dressed it down with a simple pair of Converse, classic round sunnies, a neutral bucket bag, and a metallic cuff. When in doubt, make it simple.
Anyways, back to the mid-week madness. Homework, blog, work out, feed my dog, eat, repeat. THANK G for boxing tomorrow morning to wake me up and kick my butt at the same time. Follow me on snap (payton_sartain) to see my friend Laurel’s ass-kicking skill & see my light tapping of the boxing bag.. HA. I’m too focussed on ‘using proper form’… #perfectionistprobs.
Biiiiii.
