Southwestern Style | Adding a Texas Flair

Y’ALL.

My apologies for being weirdly MIA on H+H lately!

I’m so sick at the moment. It kind of came out of nowhere, & I think I’m probably dying… probably. Let’s just say I’m getting very serious about my wellness-shot-a-day regimen for the rest of the week. HELP.

Some updates: I’m planning on filming my beachy hair tutorial for y’all tomorrow, & recording the first podcast with my girl Kristen ( of High End Hippie ) on Friday! Can’t wait to share this stuff with you beeblies!

Anyways, let’s get to the point of this, shall we?

As a very proud Texan, I pride myself on being able to add a little southwestern flair to just about any look. I love making an otherwise feminine sundress look a little more masculine with Texas-inspired accessories.

And, no, I’m not talking about gaudy turquoise & bejeweled bullshit ( though there is plenty of that going on back home… yikes ). LOL.

My formula for a cool-girl southwestern vibe is: feminine sundress/romper/whatever + some leather booties + a simple felt or straw hat.

For the look pictured here, I started with a For Love & Lemons dress and added nude snakeskin booties & a neutral hat to balance out the shoes.

Texas-girl style is definitely my favorite. I mean, I guess I’m a little biased….
