Hi gals!
How was y’alls’ Mem Day?? I had a little too much fun last week/earlier this weekend, so I spent Memorial Day lunching & hanging out with my grandparents. I’m currently living at their house in Texas until I move out to LA later next week, because my family recently sold our house / we’re having a new one built.
I’ve been banned from our rental home in the mean time, because they’re trying to keep it super clean & perfect for showings.
So, I’m homeless, basically.
BUT living with the g-parents is actually kind of great, because my grandparents are the funniest humans on the planet ( as seen by my ‘Grandma With Power Tools’ series on snapchat…. they’re not your normal grandparents….. let’s just say that ).
MOVING ON. This is my second collaboration with one of my favorite boutiques, Pine Boutique in College Station, TX. Pine is pretty much the only place I shopped in College Station when I lived there.
*Memorizes Mom’s credit card number & goes shopping at Pine on a weekly basis.* It was some low-key robber type shit. Sorry, Mom. ILY.
Anywho, I love this little slip dress & DIY choker combo ( you can find a similar, non-DIY one here ). This outfit has the same vibe as Rumi Neely’s ARE YOU AM I line, I think.
Because I’m me, & I like to wear basically no clothes in public all the time, I’d totally wear a slip like this out with some really dainty heels.
I also like this kind of thing for hanging out at home, when I decide to be a little more put together than my normal t-shirt & sweatpants or just completely nothing ‘looks.’ LOL. ‘Looks.’ Birthday suit is always in style, right??
BUT, sometimes you need to feel a little presentable, even when you’re alone in your home doing whatever it is you do in your home ( Especially if you keep the windows or blinds open ). Lessons learned from living in an apartment complex: wear clothes.
If I know I’ll be spending the whole day working at home, I’ll get up and throw a slip or robe like this on because it’s super comfortable & it’s basically the same thing as wearing a giant t-shirt.
Extra points: if someone ends up showing up at your house, you look like you’re actually a hot girl in your satiny slip. Score.
