Monday is kinda cramping my style this week…. I was not ready to return to being a real person yet. But… ya gotta do what ya gotta do, ya know?
This weekend was freaking awesome, mostly because I got to do a little exploring around Santa Monica (one of my favorite parts of LA). We did a little brunch at Del Frisco’s Grille (makes me miss Fort Worth, TX… tear, tear) & hung out at my FAVORITE bar/lounge in town, Bungalow. Saturday was one of those go-with-the-flow, no-plan kinda days.. which is so not me, its almost funny. But, It was the PERFECT Saturday.
On Sunday, I went to the Melrose Trading Post with some friends, which is a really baller flea market (only on Sundays) down the street from where I live. I TOTALLY SCORED, so I can’t wait to share my cheap-as-hell, badass goods with y’all.
Any suggestions for weekend spots in LA… because next weekend will be here soon enough, right? (<< Thats already where my mind is, WTF??)
Alright: Hyaluronic Acid Serum.
Hyaluronic Acid was the shining star of this month’s NewBeauty Magazine, because the focus was on Anti-Aging, and this stuff is srsly magical when it comes to having younger looking skin. I know, it seems a little crazy to be 21, and worried about anti-aging products, but this is the time to incorporate those types of products into your skincare routine. No need to get all crazy with it, but definitely start to think about it!
Hyaluronic Acid is produced naturally by the body (<< my kinda thing), and it is a hydrating substance, so it makes your skin appear firm, plump & radiant. The word ‘Acid’ makes it seem a rough & harsh on your skin, but it is SO misleading when it come to hyaluronic acid. This stuff isn’t harsh in the least.
Hyaluronic Acid has the capacity to sustain up to 1,000 times its weight in water. Hydration Station, for real.
I use it morning & night, after cleansing, and before putting on moisturizer. Its also cooling on the skin, so I dig, dig, diiiiiiiig it. Feels good, looks good.
H.A. firms and allows the skin to easily retain moisture, AND it reduces the look of hyper-pigmentation. The particular brand that I use (InstaNatural) makes their H.A. VEGAN (<< really good quality is definitely a must) and they add potent antioxidants Green Tea, Jojoba Oil & Vitamins C + E. You can actually find H.A. in a lot of beauty products/serums, but I like to buy a more pure version of it (here).
InstaNatural is a company that I’ve been working with a lot lately, so I’ve been sent 03485404935 products to try out! I REALLY love a couple of the products that I’ve been using, so I’m going to be sharing some of my favorites on here more often! Most of their products are natural (a lot are certified organic) & reasonably priced. ALL of their products are cruelty free, too. 2 Cool 4 Skoool.
What do you think about starting the anti-aging skincare process as a twenty-something? Too much or smart move?
I wanna know what y’all think!
Later xx
