Let’s go through a little background info this outfit first, shall we?
As some of you know, I’m a deal enthusiast. I never spend money on something that I can find cheaper somewhere else. It doesn’t matter if I’m making bank or broke as hell…. I can’t just blatantly waste money like that. Anyone with me?
Part of the POINT of Hustle + Halcyon is to provide girls like me with a more approachable avenue to style, wellness, beauty, & things of that nature. Saving money seems like a simple task, but as most of us know, it can be difficult to stay ‘stylish’ (whatever that means for you) on a college girl/ young adult budget. I’m trying to make this at least a little easier for my H+H gals, and I spend hours & hours on a daily basis searching for amazing but GOOD QUALITY styles, simple but chic home decor, DIY beauty hacks, etc.
This blog is definitely a creative outlet for me & I absolutely LOVE researching/writing/tackling the endless to-do that is blogging ( <<< well, sometimes this gets overwhelming ), but it’s really all about y’all: the readers.
I WANT EVERYONE TO LEAVE H+H READY TO EMBRACE THEIR BADASS SELVES, AND REALIZING THAT EACH ONE OF YOU CAN FEEL LIKE & BE A TOTAL BOSS BETCH. AT ANY COST .
So there’s my little mission. Love y’all lots, beebuses.
That note of inspo is the perfect way to introduce this flawless fall outfit from Marshalls.
Marshalls is like, “Here are some high-quality, brand name and designer fashions, home décor, & beauty products at super affordable prices for you, beebus.” And I’m like, “YASSSS, Marshalls, YAAASS.”
Okay, but actually. I had the best time putting together this outfit ( though it took forever because there were too many stellar options ) inspired by fast fall style. I chose to wear this little suede, A-line dress with an over-sized poncho & sleek, pointed-toe booties. I bought all three of these things for about $100 in total, BUT the outfit is really worth so much more.
Y’all know I’m super serious about clothing quality ( i.e. the way to look ‘good’ is to not buy crap… yeah, shocking, I know ), and the brands sold at Marshalls honestly blew my mind. So, you can have quality AND quantity. When else does that ever hold true….? Rare.
I’m a huge poncho fan ( LOL my previous fall posts here & here are poncho-crazed ), and this one really reminds me of that Burberry Poncho that so many fashion icons have sported in the past. But, I didn’t spend over $1,000… I spent, like, $30. So Proud.
Another great thing about this look is that it’s not too hot to wear for a Texas Fall. It’s still pretty hot here, and will be for awhile, so I like that the dress, poncho ( that can be removed easily ) & short bootie make for a pretty warmer-fall-weather look that still channels a crisp, autumn vibe.
